Hesham Shageer

Dr. Hesham Shageer is currently an Assistant Research Professor at the King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST). He is one of the Principal Investigators (PI) with the collaborative Center of Excellence for Aeronautics and Astronautics (CEAA) a joint research agreement between KACST and Stanford University. His research experience includes Adaptive Control Theory and Design. Mathematical System Modeling and Simulation, Product Design and Development as well as Experimental and Computational Methods. Dr. Shageer received his B.S. (2004), M.S. (2006) and Ph.D. (2013) all of which from the University of Virginia (UVA) in Electrical Engineering. While at UVA, he participated on a novel aircraft control design project funded by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) as well as the Solar Decathlon Competition sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy. His research interests span multiple domains including Approximation Based Adaptive Control, Autonomous Aircraft Safety and Turbulence Reduction, Bio-mimicking Concepts, Green Engineering and Alternative Sources of Hybrid Power Generation.
