Mr. Naif Almqati received his Bachelor's degree from King Saud University in Saudi Arabia (BSc) in general Chemistry in 2009, and then went on to pursue his MSc degree in Inorganic Chemistry from the University of Oxford in 2014 graduating under the research thesis topic: “Preparation Of Bulk And Supported Co/Mo Carbide Catalysts For Co 2 Conversion,” under the supervision of Professor Peter P. Edwards. He first joined KACST to work in the Petrochemical Research Institute as a research specialist in 2009. He has been working towards identifying problems related to the oil and petrochemicals industries facing public and private authorities, developing plans of applied research on petrochemicals industries, conducting scientific research and feasibility studies needed to protect the environment from oil and petrochemical waste.
